At Urban Community Tech, we believe that every small business, non-profit, and local organization deserves a robust digital presence—regardless of their budget.
We know that the costs of reliable technology can add up quickly, often forcing community leaders to choose between paying for technical overhead or funding their core mission.
To bridge this gap, we launched the Southern Maryland Tech Movement.
Urban Community Tech delivers meaningful, real‑world technology impact by removing barriers that prevent small businesses and nonprofit organizations from accessing secure digital infrastructure.
To date, we have supported 5 small businesses and 3 nonprofit organizations with secure website and email hosting using AWS cloud services, including Amazon S3, Amazon Route 53, and AWS Lightsail with WordPress. For many of these organizations, this support created their first secure and professional digital presence—something that had not been feasible due to limited resources and lack of technical expertise.
By leveraging enterprise‑grade cloud technology and hands‑on technical support, Urban Community Tech helps community organizations build credibility, improve communication, and operate more securely in today’s digital economy.
